The first Ria store opened in New York City in 1987 with one goal: to help people send money to their loved ones back home.

Today, with a worldwide network of 507,000 locations in 160 countries, Ria continues to make the world a smaller place by closing distances between families and their loved ones through world-class money transfers.

They also offer bill payment, mobile top-ups, prepaid debit cards, check cashing, and money orders. With every service that Ria provides, they work hard to provide the most positive experience possible.

As part of a general company rebranding, Ria Money Transfer appointed Lopez Landa to complete the first complete rebrand for one of the stores, located in Brixton.

THE PROJECT

The main challenge of this project was the requirement of the works to be completed in a fully active and live store,

this meant that our contracts team had to arrange all works over evenings in order to ensure that Ria could continue to provide their services to their clients throughout their normal working hours.

Once all elements were confirmed our branding team completed a final site survey to ensure all dimensions of all elements were manufactured to suit all the pre-existing elements.

THE PROJECT

The scope was carried out over a week, with a complete strip out on the first evening,

removing all old branding and setting up all new elements in place for the following days.

Once all decorations took place, our branding installation team carried out a full installation over a further 2 evenings until all elements were completed.

The last elements to be installed was the brand new canopy at the entrance of the store, which also had to be replaced over night to avoid any impact to Ria’s customers.
