Cafe Frei is named after Tamas Frei, a travelling television reporter who was one of the most prominent TV personalities

in Central-Europe working for the largest German television group. Tamas visited over 130 countries in the past 20 years, always paying tribute to his passion for coffee, searching for the best plantations, unique coffee plants and beans, particular coffee shops and special recipes.

Cafe Frei provides the opportunity for “Tasting the World” through their extraordinary product line. Their coffee drinks are always made from freshly roasted Arabica coffee beans sorted by hand offering more than 70 different coffee recipes, as well as loose-leaf tea blends, hot and cold chocolate drinks, homemade lemonades, shakes and so on.

Lopez Landa Interiors carried out the Cat B fit out of Cafe Frei’s first coffee shop in London.

THE PROJECT

Lopez Landa Interiors carried out the Cat B fit out of Cafe Frei´s first coffee shop in London.

Their commercial unit is located at 61a Alie Street, just a couple of minutes walk from Aldgate East tube station.

We offered a Detail & Build service following the initial lay out created by Cafe Frei’s own design team. From the beginning, our team provided technical advise, liaising with the Building Control body to ensure all works required met Building Regulation requirements.

THE PROJECT

Lopez Landa Interiors carried out the Cat B fit out of Cafe Frei´s first coffee shop in London.

Their commercial unit is located at 61a Alie Street, just a couple of minutes walk from Aldgate East tube station.

We undertook the installation of an access floor, to raise the 220 mm level drop

between the main entrance and the existing structural concrete floor. This raised floor gave us the oportunity to run most of the new services required under the floor.

A complete Air Conditioning system was installed in the Main Cafe area, as well as a new Fresh Air supply installation servicing the whole unit.

As part of our services we completed the First Fix installation of various services, such as the various plumbing supplies and feature lighting.

THE PROJECT

After completing all the works required

a week ahead of the original schedule, our team continued to provide support to the franchise team while they were completing the installation of soft furnishes and localised services.

We wish Cafe Frei every success and we look forward to collaborating once more in the near future.
